Nezperce - Verda Parsons, 85 died March 6, 2018 of natural causes. She was born Jan 3, 1933 to Alvin Huntley and Maxine Overmier in Rapid City S.D. She married Earl (Red) Parsons Jan 4, 1951 in Pierre S.D. where they farmed until 1964 when Earl became an Ironworker. They moved to various locations in the Northwest and Alaska. They retired in 1985 making their home in Kamiah. She enjoyed sewing, collecting dolls and spending time with her grandchildren. After her husband and son passed away she was asked what she wanted to do her reply was "I want to do what I want, eat what I want and leave this earth. So she got a couple of tattoos, ate ice cream for dinner when she wanted and has left this earth for heaven. She is survived by one son Rick Parsons of Moscow; two daughters, Kim Shrives of Puyallup WA and Lisa Winner of Nezperce; two brothers John Huntley of Lodi CA and Ron Hill of Hayward CA; 10 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death her husband Earl (Red) Parsons; Earl (Butch) Parsons son, Harold Huntley brother and Audrey Colleton sister.
No Service is planned per her request. In lieu of flowers the family suggest donations to the Nezperce Ambulance Service, Nezperce 83543.
