Thelma Jo
Guy
Sep 29, 1960 — Oct 7, 2026
Kamiah
Thelma Jo Guy (Arnold), 66, of Kamiah Idaho passed away on October 7, 2026, in Lewiston, Idaho. She was born on September 29, 1960, in Redding, California to Joe and Latisha Arnold, and will be remembered as a woman of deep kindness, strong values, a great sense of humor, and a heart that touched the lives of many.
Thelma spent her life caring for others in ways both large and small. She attended high school, leaving before graduation so she could help family and friends, a choice that reflected the giving spirit that would define her life. She later worked many years caring for children in childcare facilities, offering patience, warmth, and steady support to the children and families she served.
Nothing meant more to Thelma than the people she loved. She treasured spending time with family and friends, and she found joy in crocheting, creating with her hands gifts that carried her love in every stitch. Her family will especially remember the care she showed in everyday acts of devotion: cooking their favorite meals on their birthdays and crocheting blankets for her boys and grandchildren. These were the gestures through which she made those around her feel seen, celebrated, and deeply loved.
She is survived by her husband, Clinton Guy; their children Daniel Travas Waldrup, Dustan Lee Waldrup, and Tysan Joseph Guy; her stepson, Clinton Guy Jr.; her grandchildren Madison, Makayla, Swayzie, Knox, Kenley, and Gracelynn; and her sister, Linda Webb. She leaves behind a family circle strengthened by her love, generosity, and the countless memories she created with them.
She was preceded in death by her father, Joe Arnold; her mother, Latisha Arnold (Lee); and her stepdaughter, Melinda.
Thelma Jo Guy will be remembered for the warmth she brought into a room, the laughter she shared, and the steady love she gave so freely. Her life was one of service, devotion, and tenderness, and her memory will continue to live on in the family she cherished and in the many lives she brightened.
