Robert (Bob) Wayne Jackson
Robert (Bob) Wayne Jackson, passed away on January 20th, 2026, peacefully in his home on Battle Ridge, Kooskia, Idaho.

Bob was born October 19, 1946 to Jim and Mary Jackson in Grangeville, Idaho. He grew up near Kamiah, Idaho, spending most of his time with his Dad in the mountains going on horse packing trips, fishing in lakes, hound hunting, elk hunting and snowmobiling. He also helped his Dad build and run Jim's Cashway (now known as Dale and Jill's Sporting Goods) near Kamiah, Idaho.

He went to the Clearwater Valley schools where he played football, basketball, baseball and he also met his high school sweetheart Florence (Flo) Teats. During this time he also began logging and learned to operate equipment.

Bob and Flo were married July 1, 1966. They spent their first summer living in a wall tent on the North Fork River, where Bob was working on a road crew. Soon after, they began a life of ranching, farming and raising cattle. They had three children and have been together 59 wonderful years.

Bob spent hours chasing hounds through the mountains with his wife, kids, grandkids, relatives and friends. Bob and Flo entered hound hunting competitions wining many awards. In 1983 they purchased a rundown ranch on Battle Ridge. With the help of their children and grandchildren, they have made it into a beautiful working ranch and home for 40 years. Bob also had an excavation business, rock crushing business, and a land farm throughout his life.

There was no denying his love of hunting and the outdoors. The sales yards and neighbors recognized Bob as one of the best cattlemen they knew. He was known for his appreciation of well-trained cow dogs and hounds.

Bob is survived by his wife, Flo, children Tracy Straw (Daniel), Carrie Squires (Larry) and Wayne Jackson (Jessica), 10 Grandchildren, 15 Great Grandchildren, Sister Brenda Movius (Ted), Brother Roy Jackson (Myra), Nephew Eric Jackson (Sam) and many relatives and friends. Bob was admired and loved by all. It was Bob's wish not to have a funeral service.
