Judy Nuxoll

October 25, 1947 — April 11, 2016

Heaven gained another angel, Judy Darlene, on Monday April 11th, 2016.

Welcoming her home were Mother, Daddy, grandbaby Jonah and her lifelong friend Daphne.

Judy Darlene passed away Monday morning in Dallas while visiting her family in her beloved home state of Texas. It's always been said that you can take the girl out of Texas, but you can't take Texas out of the girl. And that was never truer than with our momma.

Tim and Juanita Frizzell welcomed their Southern Bell on October 25th, 1947 in Dallas, Texas. Judy was the third child born after brothers Bobby Eugene and Herbert Bailey. They were later joined by sister Debbie Marlene. While raising their young family, Tim and Juanita opened and operated Tim's Cafe, where many fond childhood memories were created. Judy graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1965. Her siblings made Dallas their home, but Judy moved to Idaho the summer after graduating to marry Robert Paul Gering of Post Falls in June 1966.

Judy fulfilled her biggest dream dedicating her heart and soul to raising a family with Robert, being blessed with seven children: Jeremy Paul, Timothy Aaron, Amanda Maree, Matthew Robert, Esther Darlene, Jonathan Adam, and Deborah Abigail Faith.

Judy spent countless hours on her sewing machine creating clothes for her children. Judy was known for making meals made for kings from scratch and making dresses for her daughters to match her own Southern taste. Judy gave the gift of her sewing talents freely, including sewing into the wee hours of the morning to ensure her children had all they needed.

Judy and Robert raised their children with a song in their heart, quoting scripture and singing hymns instead of bedtime stories and nursery rhymes. Together they forged a lasting heritage and enduring legacy in the Lord. Judy always had a smile on her face and an ability to get along with everyone she encountered. Judy spread God's word through unconditional love, sharing her life story and her zeal for the Lord.

As Judy moved through her single years she spent most of her time living with her daughter Amanda in her beloved Texas and working as a realtor. She moved back to Idaho in 2008 to be near her grandchildren. She loved attending their activities and expressed her devotion to her family by always helping in any way she could. Her greatest joy of all was the joy of being surrounded by her grandchildren, who lovingly referred to her as 'Gigi'. Judy left her grandchildren with lasting memories of her talents and love in the quilts she crafted.

Ray met this wonderful lady in January and were married in October 2014. With this, Judy started a new chapter in her life and gained more family that loved and welcomed her to the farm in Greencreek. Judy found a new joy and peace as they made their home together on the prairie.

Judy is survived by her husband Ray and stepson Justin (Elizabeth) of Greencreek, children Jeremy (Christy), Jonathan (Angel), Deborah Schmidt (Rob) all of Orofino. Timothy (Kari Kay) of Bonners Ferry, Amanda of Oklahoma City, Matthew (April) of Post Falls, Esther of Plaza, Also survived by 31 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, and 2 on the way.

The service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday April 16th at St. Catherine's in Kamiah, Idaho to be followed by dinner.
