Gary Huntley 76, of Kooskia, Idaho
Gary Richard Huntley, age 76, passed away Friday, October 14, 2016 at his home on Red Fir Road near Kooskia, Idaho, after a short battle with cancer.
Gary was born March 29, 1940, the fourth child of six, to Jack and Edith (Spangler) Huntley in Grangeville, Idaho. He graduated from Grangeville High School in 1958.
After high school, Gary spent 10 years in the Navy where he met his wife of 55 years, Mary (Williams)
They made their home on Red Fir Road where they raised their three children.
Gary worked the family farm and also delivered fuel in the local area for 34 years.
Gary is survived by his wife Mary, his sons Ken and Tim, his daughter Sharon (Doug) Parks and two grandchildren, Connor and Sydney Parks; his brothers: Bob of Elk City, Idaho; Ray (Mary) of Las Vegas, NV; Dee (Janet) of Kooskia, Idaho; Jack (Kathy) of Stites, Idaho and brother-in-law Norman Graham.
Gary was preceded in death by his daughter Terry, his parents and his sister Mary Lou Graham
A graveside service with Military Honors will be held at 11:00 a.m, Saturday, October 22, 2016 at the Denver Cemetery, near Grangeville, Idaho followed by a dinner in Kooskia, Idaho at the IOOF Hall. Arrangements are by Trenary Funeral Home of Kooskia, Idaho.
