Donald Eugene Young passed away on August 14th, 2023. He was born to Daniel Edward Young and Ruth A. Young on May 25th, 1936 at the Forest Center School House in Harrisburg, ID. Don was raised in Kamiah and graduated May 18th, 1954. After which, he joined the Air Force. He was honorably discharged in 1961. He married Ellen Jean Remsen on January 21st, 1961, and was preceded in death by her on July 5th, 2008.
He was a scout master for 9 years. He volunteered with 4H for 2 years, and was a local EMT for 12 years, and a volunteer fireman for 33 years, retiring from it as chief. He spent 33 years at Olive's Autoparts, being manager for most of it at Kooskia
He is survived by his son and wife, 2 grandchildren and a step granddaughter.
A private graveside committal and celebration of life, to follow, at Stites Baptist Church.
