In Loving Memory of Donald Ray Raymond

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Donald Ray Raymond, a beloved husband, father, and brother. Donald was born on February 22, 1949, in Salida, CO to Leslie and Pearl Raymond. He peacefully departed from this world on October 8, 2023, at the age of 74, surrounded by his loving family in Kooskia, ID.

Donald was a dedicated and skilled mechanic, having spent countless hours fixing vehicles for CFI and the county. His passion for his work was evident in his ability to fix anything that came his way. Beyond his profession, Donald was a skilled craftsman who enjoyed building various items, such as windmills, wishing wells, crosses, and Christmas decorations, which he proudly displayed in his yard.

Throughout his life, Donald was a pillar of strength and resolute support for his family. He leaves behind his beloved spouse, Ronelda Raymond, and their children, Don, Rusty, Colleen, and Carol. Donald also leaves behind his dear brother, Frank, as well as many extended family members and friends whose lives were touched by his kind and generous spirit.

Some fond memories of Donald from his loved ones were that of his hunting and fishing ethics! *wink wink*. One of Taylor's, is receiving a booty bump at their high school graduation. Blake's was bucking grandpa off the back of the four wheeler. Another is from Mike, "Mom said to not get dirty but me and my brother, Paul, crawled under the car grandpa was working on and got filthy anyway!" and "First buck, showed grandpa. Buck fever. Shaking like a dog "pooping" a peach seed."

Donald's memory will forever be cherished by those who had the privilege to know him. He will be remembered for his unwavering loyalty, his willingness to always lend a helping hand, and his deep devotion to his loved ones.

A funeral service to honor Donald's life will be held at a later date.

Donald Ray Raymond will forever remain in our hearts, his presence felt through the memories he created and the lives he touched. May he rest in eternal peace knowing the love and happiness he brought to the world.

Keep in mind a fond memory to share at his celebration of life ceremony.
