In Loving Memory of Barbara Jean Brainerd
Barbara Jean Brainerd, a beloved wife, mother, and sister, peacefully passed away at the age of 67 on February 14, 2024, in Coeur d'Alene, ID. Born on December 20, 1956, in East Long Branch, NJ, she was a cherished daughter of Robert and Dolly Nostrand.
Barbara had a passion for various hobbies, such as gardening and crafting. One of Barbara's most unique interests was her ham radio hobby. In 2010, she became a licensed ham radio operator, connecting with people around the world and forming lasting friendships within the Three Rivers Amateur Radio club.
On July 4, 1979, Barbara exchanged vows with the love of her life, David Brainerd, in a joyful ceremony in Ventura, California. Their union was a true testament to love, commitment, and unwavering support for one another.
Barbara will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She leaves behind her loving husband, David Brainerd, who will forever cherish the memories they shared and the love they built together. She also leaves behind her son, Steven Bentley, and her sister, Dolores Castello, who will forever hold on to the memories of their shared moments and the unbreakable bond they forged throughout the years.
As we gather to bid farewell to our beloved Barbara, we invite family and friends to join us in honoring her life and legacy. Funeral services will be held on February 22, 2024 at 1:00 pm at the Trenary Funeral Home Chapel in Kooskia, ID. A private interment will take place following the ceremony at Pine Grove Cemetery at 2:00 pm.
Although our hearts ache with sorrow, we find solace in knowing that Barbara has found eternal peace. Her memory will forever remain in our hearts, and her loving spirit will guide us through the days ahead.
